About BXConnect
BXConnect brings together people living with bronchiectasis and NTM, their care teams, and Canadian researchers so we can shorten the path to better treatments.
Why the registry matters
The Canadian Bronchiectasis and NTM Research Registry is a prospective observational study collecting clinical, imaging, and quality-of-life data from people with non-CF bronchiectasis and NTM infections across Canada.
Led by the University of Calgary and supported by national partners, BXConnect is designed to speed up study startup, recruit people who meet trial criteria faster, and give researchers a shared foundation for collaboration.

Research Areas
The registry is open to adults across Canada who have been diagnosed with non-CF bronchiectasis or NTM infections. By enrolling a diverse cohort of participants, we can better understand how these conditions affect different populations and identify patterns that may lead to improved treatments and care strategies.
Chronic airway widening and mucus retention leading to recurrent infections and reduced lung function.
Environmental mycobacterial infections often affecting people with bronchiectasis and requiring specialized treatment.
Registry Objectives
Our registry is designed to advance understanding and treatment of bronchiectasis through comprehensive data collection.
Build a national database of clinical, radiological, and patient-reported data.
Facilitate recruitment into clinical trials for new therapies and treatments.
Provide a platform for collaboration among Canadian researchers and industry partners.
Get Involved
